FRISCO, Texas – More than 44 collegiate club golf teams along with 10 individuals will compete for a national title December 7-8 (Saturday and Sunday) at the 2024 PGA National Collegiate Club Golf Association (NCCGA) Fall Championship and Invitational.
The 36-hole stroke play competition, held at Pinehurst (North Carolina) Resort, will crown a team and individual national champion. The Invitational, open to teams and players who did not qualify for the championship division, will also crown a team and individual winner. Pinehurst is home to 10 18-hole courses and regularly hosts numerous championships, including the 2024 U.S. Open. The Fall Championship will be held on No. 5 and No. 8 and the Fall Invitational will be played on No. 6.
Held in the fall and spring, the PGA NCCGA Championship features more than 300 of the nation’s best collegiate club golfers. As the governing body for collegiate club golf, the NCCGA ensures every student can play golf in college and assists them in starting, maintaining, and facilitating club golf tournaments regionally and nationally.
The PGA NCCGA Championship gives collegiate club golfers not participating in a varsity golf program an opportunity to play in a competitive setting. Club golf teams competed in their respective regions throughout September and October for the chance to advance to the Championship and Invitational. The NCCGA operates three 36-hole tournaments in each of the 27 regions across the country. The top teams and individuals in the country receive an automatic bid to the Championship. All tournaments are co-ed and open to active college students of all skill levels, and individual students can represent their schools if they don’t have the required five students to form a team.
The Invitational, held in conjunction with the annual Fall Championship, provides an additional opportunity for more students to compete in a national event. Invitations are extended to one team from each of the 27 regions that did not qualify for the Championship as well as the top individuals not competing on a team.
More than 225 colleges across the United States field club golf teams. Individual students can represent their schools if they don’t have the required five students to form a team.

BUFFALO, N.Y., and FRISCO, Texas – The PGA of America and Patina Restaurant Group, the luxury lifestyle division of Delaware North and a culinary leader in the restaurant and catering industry, announced the extension of their partnership through 2034.
Patina Restaurant Group – which first entered the golf hospitality sector in 2021 – will continue as the official catering partner at annual events such as the PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and Senior PGA Championship. Patina Restaurant Group will also cater the 2025 Ryder Cup (Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y.), 2029 Ryder Cup (Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.) and 2033 Ryder Cup (The Olympic Club’s Lake Course in San Francisco, Calif.).
“Patina Restaurant Group consistently sets the benchmark for excellence across all aspects of our events—from general admission to the exclusive VIP areas. Their unwavering commitment to quality and service has been pivotal in transforming our Championships into premium dining experiences that elevate both the value and enjoyment for our guests,” said David Charles, PGA of America Senior Director, Championships. “Through our partnership, Patina Restaurant Group has been instrumental in establishing an unparalleled standard of culinary sophistication in sports, making our championships not only about competition but also exceptional culinary events.”
Patina Restaurant Group is a wholly owned division of global hospitality and entertainment company Delaware North. The parent company’s global experience in the hospitality industry includes catering and food service at high-profile events such as the Super Bowl, World Series, All-Star Games, Stanley Cup Final, NBA Finals and UEFA Champions League Final. Patina Restaurant Group – which operates nearly 30 restaurants at locations such as Disney Springs, Epcot® at Walt Disney World Resort and Downtown Disney – also recently served spectators at the Formula 1Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024.
“On behalf of Patina Restaurant Group and Delaware North, I’m incredibly proud to extend our partnership with PGA of America and build on the success we’ve achieved together,” said John Kolaski, president of Patina Restaurant Group. “Our entry into the golf sector marked a defining moment, merging Delaware North’s renowned expertise in sports hospitality with Patina’s reputation as culinary leaders. With the PGA’s incredible partnership, we’ve created an elevated dining experience that exemplifies culinary excellence, delivering radical hospitality that enhances every moment of these iconic events.”
Among the many highlights for Patina Restaurant Group and PGA of America in 2024 was the return of the highly popular Championship+ Ticket, which includes an all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverage program – an innovative initiative first introduced in 2022. During the seven-day 2024 PGA Championship in Louisville, Ky., 97% of surveyed spectators recommended the continuation of the all-inclusive program for future events. The variety of freshly prepared food items available was also a hit, receiving a positive rating from 91% of guests surveyed and several comments expressing appreciation for the availability of vegetarian and meatless options.
Hospitality amenities at the 2024 PGA Championship included on-course market concessions, bar outlets, chalets, suites, premium suites, Club PGA, Champions Club, Valhalla Member Club, PGA Member Club, Chase Sapphire Lounge, media dining, player and caddie dining, and the esteemed clubhouse at Valhalla Golf Club. With more than 720,000 square feet of hospitality space, it was the largest for a PGA Championship on record.
